Matt Finish Stainless Sheet, Steel Plate Coils is a No. 4 ground unidirectional finish obtained by polishing using oscillatory method with 120, 150, 180 and 240 grit abrasives in a state-of-the-art polishing line. The No. 4 finish is a brushed finish, also known as a satin finish. It is achieved by polishing the stainless steel with abrasive belts or brushes, resulting in a smooth, directional grain that is aesthetically pleasing and hides surface scratches and No. 4 Finish is a brushed or satin finish achieved by mechanically polishing the stainless steel with abrasive belts or brushes. It has a uniform, directional grain appearance.
Typically, stainless steel sheets, Brass Sheets , plates, and coils are specified with either a No. 4 finish or a mirror finish, but not both simultaneously, as they represent different surface textures and aesthetic properties. However, if a specific combination is required (which is unusual), it would involve a process to transition from one finish to another, but this is not standard practice.
