Pre-Welding Preparation
- Material Identification: Confirm that the material is indeed SA387 Grade 12.
- Cleaning: Clean the base material to remove oil, grease, moisture, and any other contaminants.
- Edge Preparation: Prepare the edges of the plates to be welded according to the desired joint configuration (e.g., single V, double V, etc.). Proper beveling is essential for full penetration welds.
